Thank you so much for your interest in The Living Word Church. We are a church that believes in worshiping God, learning the truth of God's Word and then doing those things that we have learned. The church had its beginning in November of 1978, with seven people meeting in a building on North Broadway in Sylacauga. The church grew and moved to East 8th Street, where we met in a rented church building. In December of 1980, the church moved to its present location on Hwy 280, between Sylacauga and Childersburg, where God has continued to bless us with over 20 acres of land for future expansion. Since that time we have added two new buildings, a sanctuary and a fellowship hall to the original building. We are excited and eagerly anticpate what God has in store for us in the years to come. We are a bible believing church, a family church, and a church with a vision and a goal to reach our community and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a church that takes seriously Mark 16:15 to go into ALL the world and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Living Word Church at one time supported missionaries in upwards of 16 different countries and we desire to reach those levels again. We welcome you to come and be apart of what God is doing through The Living Word Church and throughout the Coosa Valley Area.
